Position Overview:  As the Family Ministry Coordinator, you will play an integral role in nurturing the spiritual life of the church to guide and support children and their families in our congregation and community in relationship building and in the use of their gifts in their active study of God’s word (Ephesians 4:12).  You will work closely with the Church’s Called Workers (Pastor and Deacon)to plan and implement varied and wide-ranging ministry programs that include, but are not limited to, worship, study, fellowship, and service to provide families with opportunities to grow in their relationship with God and respond to that relationship faithfully in the church and the world. Through being attentive to the diversity of family circumstances, and understanding the home as a setting for spiritual formation, you will assist Riverbend Lutheran Church in fulfilling its mission:  Proclaiming the love of Jesus to a lost and broken world!

A unique aspect of this position is the opportunity to administer Riverbend Christian Preschool, a well-established and highly reputable outreach ministry since 1994, in addition to coordinating other ministries such as Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and to grow new family ministries and mission opportunities.  As the Coordinator, your time will be focussed on program planning and administration (60%); recruitment and supervision of teaching staff and volunteers (15%); financial management and reporting (15%); and, communication and marketing (10%). This is a full-time position that will include some evenings and weekends. To learn more about this position, Riverbend Lutheran Church and it’s ministries, visit:
